Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement:
I am committed to providing inclusive services that affirm the dignity, worth, and value of all individuals.
I strive to create an atmosphere of respect, and safety where diverse attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviors can be explored and discussed with appreciation of diversity of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, age, ancestry, physical/mental ability, status as a veteran, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, and socioeconomic status of all persons.
Mental health concerns are often affected by social forces in the environment related to power and privilege, such as racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, heterosexism, and other forms of marginalization and oppression.
I understand that inclusiveness and social justice require an ongoing endeavor, and we can never assume to have reached the final point. As such, I am committed to taking an ongoing personal responsibility to continually seek to grow in my awareness, reduce barriers and bias, and strengthen my multicultural competence.
